PREPARING YOUR AGENCY:
The integration of mental health services into community-based settings
requires a high level of readiness and commitment from the organization
and the community it serves. Partnerships with your County Mental Health
Agencies are a critical component for the realization of your organization
mental health services goals. Download “CFRA's
Summary Guidelines for Strong Community-based Mental Health Programs”
and its accompanying “CFRA's
Model Criteria for Community-based Mental Health Programs Rating Scale”
to assess your current understanding of the comprehensive nature of successful
mental health program models. You can then complete, with the participation
of your planning team and/or appropriate staff, the “Organizational
Readiness Assessment Scale for the Integration of Mental Health and Family-Strengthening
Organizations” tool. This tool will help you to identify gaps
in your organizational capacity to provide mental health services.
