Californians For Family Economic Self-Sufficiency

Californians For Family Economic Self-Sufficiency (CFESS), a project of the National Economic Development and Law Center (NEDLC), is a statewide advocacy network committed to advancing policies and programs that allow California families to move out of poverty and toward economic self-sufficiency. Local Asset Poverty Index

The Assets Policy Initiative of California has just released the Local Asset Poverty Index (LAPI). The index is the first composition of data on county-level asset poverty. Earned Income Tax Credit Tool Kit

National Assembly's Family Strengthening Policy Center, with support from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, has created an EITC Toolkit that will give limited income earners access to an important federal tax benefit that may be worth more than $4200. Clients and employees of family resource centers and family-strengthening organizations can utilize this antipoverty investment strategy as a means to financial sustainability. Financial Education Curriculum

The Citigroup Office of Financial Education has released a Financial Education Curriculum that is current, relevant and comprehensive. The goal of this curriculum is to help families make informed financial decision by providing a foundation of basic knowledge about financial services, saving, investing and credit.
