COMING SOON:

  • December 2006 - In order to better serve you and represent your policy and resource interests, CFRA will be conducting a brief survey of its members in early December via email. This will both inform our Year 1 Policy Strategy and our longer-term policy platform. Please watch your email on December 5th for the short survey. $25 GIFT CARDS AVAILABLE TO THE FIRST 100 SURVEY RESONDENTS TO SHARE WITH FAMILIES IN YOUR COMMUNITIES.
  • January 2007 - CFRA will provide it's members a Budget Summary based on the Governor's proposed budget to be unveiled in January 2007. This summary will be included in the January CFRA Newsletter.
  • February 2007 - CFRA is working with the California Budget Project to conduct a series of regional training workshops aimed at increasing the capacity of CFRA's membership to participate effectively in state budget and policy debates. Space is limited, but CFRA members will receive priority registration. More information coming soon.
  • Spring 2007 - CFRA will be contacting each member with a Membership Kit that will include a list of policymakers and a How-to Guide on how to invite legislators to Family Resource Centers.

CFRA also works to build the capacity of its member organizations and creates networks that link people and resources. CFRA's policy focus is in the areas of child welfare, mental health, economic success and school readiness.

  • CFRA is proud to announce that it has received a two year grant from The California Endowment. This grant will be used to strengthen the capacity to integrate mental health resources into family resource centers in California. CFRA will select 3-5 pilot sites to which resources will be allocated to facilitate the grants purpose of providing access to mental health services to the communities that they serve.
