CFRA's operations are managed by a highly qualified staff with experience working with issues affecting children, families and communities. Leticia Alejandrez, Executive Director CFRA staff is supported by a network of senior consultants who provide expertise in communications, conference planning and management, policy, and information management and technology. Staff Member BiosLeticia Alejandrez is the founding executive director of the California Family Resource Association, which was formed in 2005. She has rich experience in philanthropy, public policy and education spanning over 20 years. Previously, she served as program director for the Foundation Consortium for California Children & Youth, a collaboration of 21 California-based grantmakers. She led the Consortium’s work related to family support, community partnerships in child welfare reform, inclusive accountability and school readiness. Ms. Alejandrez served as committee staff in the California Legislature where her policy areas included international affairs, education and economic development. She has several years of experience with statewide educational associations including the California School Boards Association and the Association of California School Administrators. Ms. Alejandrez has served on various boards and commissions and has contributed to numerous articles and publications. Ms. Alejandrez maintains a strong commitment to being of service to others and improving the quality of life for California’s most vulnerable children and their families. Milla Austin serves as the Director of Finance for the California Family Resource Association. Ms. Austin is responsible for directing business administrations and operations, including: finance, contracts, grants and human resources. Ms. Austin has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy. She began her accounting career at the Big Five firms with Arthur Anderson, and KMPG and later went to work at a local Sacramento firm that specialized in nonprofit organizations. Ms. Austin currently serves as an elected Director of the Sacramento chapter of the Cal CPA Society, an organization that increases the value and promotes the integrity of the CPA profession and strengthens client, employer, public and government trust in CPA members advice, work products and opinions. |
